Automotive Engine and Machining Engineer Needed:
 
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years required, 5 + years preferred with Engine and Machining engineering / manufacturing/operations experience required,
  • Extensive Automotive experience and Knowledge of lean processes
  • Engineer trained graduate with Management experience..
  • Travel required. Working patterns are flexible, 2 to 4 weeks away models with variable home time, plus standard holidays and personal leave.
  • Proven track record and hands on experience in project management of large lean implementations in the Engine and Machining engineering industry.
Job Duties:

The primary objective of this position will be to advise/review equipment Engine Assembly and Machining layouts and equipment specifications to maximize the lean benefits.
  • Project management of new Automotive Engine shop implementation
  • Manage new automotive Engine Assembly and Machining line trials.
  • Coordination and implementation of new equipment trials.
  • Confirmation quality standards
  • Deliver a production trial strategy
  • Management of volume ramp up including changeover strategy.
  • Can advise on production flexibility requirement
  • Can develop production schedule management, Kanban type system
  • Can Coach and work with Senior Engine Plant Management
